Wii Connectivity

Nintendo Wii Connection Set up:-

I am now going to connect the Nintendo Wii console.

The image below shows me with the components for connecting up the Nintendo Wii.

The picture above shows an image of me holding the sensor bar, I am going to connect this to the Nintendo Wii. If this wasn’t connected then I won’t be able to use the Wii-mote (controller).

The image above shows where the sensor bar needs to be connected, it needs to be connected into the orange port.

I am going to align the sensor bar connector with the sensor bar port and then push and make sure it is firmly in place.

The image above shows that the sensor bar is now connected, for it to be connected I had to align the sensor bar with the port on the console and then push it in to the port and make sure it is connected.

Now I am going to connect the VGA cable, the image above shows me holding the VGA cable.

The yellow, white and red wire scat is going to be connected into my television and the other end of the cable is going to be connected into the console.

The image above shows where the first end of the VGA cable needs to go, it is going to go at the back of the Nintendo Wii. I am going to align it with the port and then push it into the hole.

The image above shows that the VGA cable is connected, I had to align it with the port and make sure it is firmly in place.

Now I am going to connect the VGA scart into the television.

The image above shows where the other end of the VGA cable needs to go, for me to connect it I will have to align the VGA scart with the scart port and then push in, firmly making sure it is connected.

The image above shows that the yellow, white and red VGA wire scart cable is connected, I connected it by pushing it into the port of the scart and making sure it is connected.

The image above shows me holding the AC cable for the Nintendo Wii, I am going to connect the plug into a socket and on the other side of the AC cable, and I am going to connect AC cable to the console.

I am going to connect it by pushing it through the AC port.

The image above shows that I have connected the AC cable into the socket, now the Nintendo Wii can be turned on and I can play games on the console.

After connecting the AC cable, now all the components for connecting the Nintendo Wii is connected and I am now going to turn the console on.

Xbox 360 Connectivity

Xbox 360 Connection Setup:-

I am going to show how to connect the Xbox 360 console.clip_image002

The image on the right shows all the components to connect the Xbox 360. It shows the console itself, the AC cable, controllers, VGA cable, Ethernet cable, monitor and game.

The first component I am going to connect is the AC cable for the console.

The picture above shows an image of me holding the other end of the AC cable for the console. I am going to connect the plug in the plug switch and plug in the other end into the AC cable.

The picture above shows an image of me connecting the first part of the AC cable into the port of the AC cable.

Before I plug it into the port of the AC cable, I need to align it, as it shows on the picture on the right. Then I need to push it in firmly.

The picture above shows me firmly connecting the first part of the AC cable into the AC cable battery. To connect it, I had to align the AC cable with the AC cable battery port, and then I had to push it through the port and make sure that it is firmly in place.

After connecting the AC cable scart to the port of the AC cable battery, I then get the other end of the AC cable and I am going to plug it at the back of the Xbox 360.

The picture above shows where I need to plug the AC cable, I have to align the AC cable with the port in the console.

I had to make sure that the AC cable is lined up with the AC port on the console and then I push in the cable into the port.

Now I am going to connect the hard drive to the console, once I have the hard drive connected to the console and I have power running through the console then I can have saved game data’s and movies on the hard drive.

The image above shows where the Xbox 360 hard drive needs to go; the size of the hard drive is 20GB. I am going to place the hard drive into the console by aligning the hard drive with the top of the console and I then have to push down, while I am pushing the hard drive in to the Xbox 360 I have to make sure that the port of the hard drive goes into the port hold on the console.

The picture on the right shows me placing the hard drive on the top of the Xbox 360.

I had to place it over the top of the console and as I was pushing down I had to make sure that hard drive port goes into the consoles port.

The picture above shows an image of me holding the VGA cable; I am going to connect the VGA cable into the monitor and on the other side of the cable is going to be connected to the console.

The image above shows me holding the scart of the VGA cable and I am pointing at where it needs to go.

For it to be connected, I have to align the scart with the scart port and then push down.

The image above shows that I have connected the scart of the VGA cable into the scart port, for the scart to be connected to the scart port. I had to align the scart with the scart port and then push down; making sure that the scart is connected probably into the scart port I check that it’s firmly in place so that it doesn’t disconnect.

The picture above shows an image of me holding the Ethernet cables; I am going to connect this to the console and into the Ethernet port.

For the Ethernet cable to be connected, I had to align the Ethernet cable over the Ethernet port and then push down. As I was pushing down, I had to hear this type of clicking type of sound so I know that the Ethernet cable is connected

The image above shows me plugging the Ethernet into the Ethernet port on the wall.

For it to be connected, I had to push the Ethernet cable into the port while doing so I had to hear a clicking type of noise, so I know that it is firmly in place.

clip_image002[41]The picture above shows an image of me holding the AC cable for the monitor, I am going to connect the plug into a socket and the other end of the AC cable is going to go into the port of the monitor.

The picture above shows an image of me pointing to where the AC cable for the monitor needs to go.

For e to connect this, I have to align the AC cable with the port of the AC on the monitor.

After aligning the AC cable with the port for the monitor, I then push up and firmly make sure that it is in place. Once this is connect, I then have to connect the plug in the socket, which means I am able to turn the monitor on and see what I am doing in the game and/or in the console.

The picture above shows an image of me connecting the other end of the VGA cable.

It shows where I have to connect it and when it is connected, I then have to screw the pins to make sure that it’s firmly in place.

clip_image002[49]After connecting the VGA cable to the monitor, I then had to screw the pins into the monitor so that it doesn’t come off when I am playing the console.

The picture above shows where the AC cable for the monitor needs to go, I will need to plug that in and then turn the switch on. Once that is connected and I turn it on then the monitor can be turned on.

The picture above shows an image of me plugging in the plug into the socket for the monitor to be turned on.

For me to connect the plug, I had to align the plug with the socket and once it was aligned I then pushed the plug into the socket. Once the plug is in the socket, I then turned the switch so that the monitor can be turned on

clip_image002[55]The picture above shows an image of the AC cable for the console to where it needs to go, I will have to connect the plug into the socket wall and turn the switch on. Once this is connected the Xbox 360 is able to be turned on and then I can play the console.

I have connected the plug and now I am going to turn the switch on so that the console is able to be turned on.

The picture above shows and image of me holding the Xbox 360 controller, this is going to be connected by via USB into the front of the console. Without having the controller, I will not be able to play the games or use the console.

The picture above shows where the controller needs to go, the USB will need to be plugged into the USB port.

On the console, it shows 2 USB ports, I can connect another controller to the console

The picture above shows an image of the controller connected to the console, to connect it I had to push the USB through the flap to get to the USB port and then just push the controller USB into the USB port.

After connecting the first controller, I had connected another controller to the USB port.

The picture on the left shows that the console is turned off and I am going to press the button for the Xbox 360 to be turned on.

After pressing the button on the console, then the console turns on. Once I pressed the button, and then button then turns green to notify the user that the Xbox 360 is turned on.

The two (2) images above shows the button on the console. The picture on the top left shows that button of the console is off which means that the console isn’t turned on.

The image on the top right shows the button of the console when it is turned on, you can tell when it is on as it has a green ring around the button.

PlayStation 3 Connectivity

PlayStation 3 Console set up:-
I am now going to show the steps to setup a PlayStation 3 with the cables for the PlayStation 3. I am going to also show hot to install a PS3 game on the console, the game I am going to install is Star Wars: Force Unleashed and I will show a quick gameplay of the game.

I am going to show how to connect the PlayStation 3 console, the image above shows the connections I will be using to connect the console and the game I am going to install on the console.

Now I am going to connect the cable to the PlayStation 3, the cable that has to connect to the PS3 is the three coloured cable and the other end is the scart.

The three colour wire is going to connecting to the computer and the scart is going to be connected to the PS3.

The image above show one end of the cable that is going into the PlayStation 3, the port for the cable to go in is located at the back of the PlayStation 3.

The above image show me connecting one end of the cable to the PlayStation, to connect the cable I have to align the cable with the port and then push in the connector.

Connecting the connector to the PlayStation will let the user who is play see the visual image of the game, the bottom image shows an enlarge picture

The image above show an enlarge image of the AC power cable.

The image on the top left shows the plug, this is where I am going to plug into the plug switch and the other end of the cable which shows on the top right side is where I am going to plug into the consoles port hole.

The image above shows me going to connect the AC cable into the console, as you can see next to the port for the AC cable is the on/off switch to turn the console on and/or off. Without have the AC cable is that the console won’t be able to turn on and then I won’t be able to play the games on the console.

After aligning the AC cable with the port then I am going to push the AC cable into the port and firmly check it is in place. Once in place I am then going to plug in the Plug on the other end of the AC cable.

The image above shows the ends of the Ethernet cable, one end is going to be connected to the PlayStation 3 console and the other end is going to be connected to the Ethernet port.

This cable will allow me to connect to the internet and download PlayStation game demos, wallpapers, music and videos by using the PlayStation Network- also known as PSN.

The image above shows me about to plug in the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port, to plug in the Ethernet cable I have to align it to the port and then push into the port for the internet to work. But once I connect this Ethernet cable into the port, I will not have internet access because I didn’t plug in the other end of the cable.

The image above shows me connecting the Ethernet cable in the Ethernet port, to connect it- I had to make sure that the Ethernet was aligned with the Ethernet port and then I pushed it through the Ethernet port. I firmly made sure that it was connected, while I was connecting the Ethernet to the port I had to hear a click type of sound, so I know that the Ethernet is connected probably.

Once I connect this side of the Ethernet cable then I would have an internet connection for the console and I can then download game demos on the PSN (PlayStation Network).

After aligning the Ethernet cable with the Ethernet port on the wall, then I would be able to have internet on the console, the image above shows me connecting the Ethernet to the Ethernet port on the wall. When I was pushing the Ethernet cable into the port on the wall, I was listening to the click sound so that I know that it is firmly in place.

After connecting the Ethernet cable, I then get the other end of the AC cable, which is the plug of the AC cable and I align it with the switch plug, for me to plug in the AC cable I have to push the plug into the plug switch and then turn on the switch so that electricity can go into the console so it can power the console and I then you are able to play it.

The image above shows that I have plugged in the AC cable into the plug switch and I have turned the power so that electricity can flow into the AC cable to the console so that it can have power to play.

The image above shows that I am holding the three coloured cable, I have already connected the other end of the scart to the PlayStation 3.

Now I am going to connect the colour cable to the computer, I am connected it to the computer because it has a TV card and the three coloured pins.

I will have to connect the coloured wire to the desired coloured i.e. the red colour wire is going to go to the red pin in the computer.

To connect the three coloured wire, I will have to align each coloured wire in front of the correct colour pin.

The image above shows that I have connected the three coloured wires in the rightful colour pin.

To connect the three coloured pins, you have to align each of the coloured wires and then push into the coloured pin.

Then make sure that it is connected probably and it’s not lose, if it is lose then firmly push into the coloured pin.

Now I have connected all the main components for the PlayStation 3 to work, as I have connected the AC cable to the switch and turned the switch on. Next to the on/off switch on the PS3 there is a red light which means that the console is on standby mode.

The image above shows that I have pressed the on/off button on the console to turn the console on.

Once I have pressed the button, then a green light appears meaning that the console is on.
